About Steven M. Hughes

Steven M. Hughes is a money expert, speaker, and social entrepreneur. The Columbia, SC native has empowered thousands of people to take action to make positive life changes through his speaking engagements, workshops, and curriculum design. After making every money mistake imaginable as a college student, Steven took massive action over the course of the next four years to improve his financial situation.

He’s now a financial psychology and behavioral finance nerd and weekly on-air money expert for the CBS affiliate in Columbia. In 2014, Steven founded Know Money Inc, a nonprofit that teaches college students how to think and talk about money differently, so they can live carefree, responsibly. When he’s not speaking to groups about money or creating financial wellness programs for companies, he’s helping other financial professionals tell their story to their target market.
