Over 30 million Americans have filed for unemployment. How many of them are high-risk individuals who have now lost their health insurance? How many more are suffering because they are underpaid, unbanked, or unable to stop working in potentially harmful conditions?

Miranda Marquit speaks with Athena Lent of Money Smart Latina about the difficulties at-risk communities are enduring due to the pandemic. They discuss the challenges these communities face in finding resources, employing those resources, and staying safe in the midst of Coronavirus.

  • What makes some communities more at-risk and what are some of the risks that they face?
  • How can someone find resources available to them if they do not have internet access?
  • What are some of the financial priorities for at-risk individuals?
  • The difficulty when officials weigh the health of individuals against the health of the economy
