The number of voices in personal finance media is growing as creators and consumers recognize the value of having people to whom they can relate. Our roundtable today dives into the hole they saw that needed to be filled and share their experiences as women in personal finance.
As we wrap up the first season of the Plutus Awards Podcast, Chris Browning sits down with Berna, Jamilla Souffrant, and Bethany Bayless to have a candid roundtable conversation about diversity and representation in the finance arena.
- Growing up, did the panelists have anyone that looked like them that provided a good example of how to handle money?
- Was it difficult to step into the personal finance space with such limited examples?
- The struggle of dealing with people in their lives who don’t understand what exactly they do
- How they deal with people doubting them because they are women
