The Plutus Awards Is Now Accepting Submissions and Nominations

On October 28 at the Plutus Awards ceremony at FinCon in Dallas, the highest honors for the independent financial media will be bestowed upon the winners of the 8th Annual Plutus Awards. It’s a really fun ceremony and a great time for everyone.

The finalists and winners will be decided by a representative Panel of members of the community with help from you and your audiences. Here’s how you can ensure your blog, podcast, or other project is being considered for one of this year’s prestigious awards:

1. Enter your project for consideration. We have a few new categories this season. If you don’t see a category that fits your project, you can suggest it when you submit your project for consideration. After your submission is complete, you will receive an email with instructions for creating a link that will help you with the next step.

2. Nominate your peers for awards in their categories. This is huge. You may not be able to come up with answers for every category, but we rely on nominations from the community to raise the Panel’s awareness of whatever the top blogs, podcasts, and other projects may be within the independent financial media.

3. Spread the word. You can (and should) also rally your audience for nominations. Every nomination counts towards determining the winner of the “People’s Choice Award,” so you should encourage your readers and listeners to nominate you. Of course, nominations are limited to one per IP address. Please don’t stuff the ballot — you will be disqualified.

Thank you, good luck, and see you in Dallas in October!
