Here are the grant recipients for the Spring 2024 cohort.

Hello, Money! Bootcamp

The Hello, Money! Bootcamp is a 3-part workshop that enables women of color early in their careers to feel more confident about their current finances and the future of their finances.

An in-person boot camp will be held in Los Angeles, California, facilitated by Lissa Prudencio, AFC®, CFEI®. An on-demand workshop will be made available online to help scale the program’s reach.

About the founder

Lissa Prudencio

Lissa Prudencio is a personal finance creator, speaker, and business owner who started Wealth for Women of Color in 2022 to give BIPOC women a safe space to openly talk about money and building wealth.

After starting her career in music licensing at Fox Sports, Lissa spent 11 years at Google/YouTube in business strategy and operations positions. Her expertise across all business areas enabled her to build businesses, break barriers, and wear many hats outside of her corporate roles.

We are happy to extend and renew our support of a previous grant recipient:

The Money Camp for Kids offers an engaging and informative learning opportunity from home.

The four-week curated learning experience is designed for students ages 8-14. Students are introduced to money management fundamentals and proven strategies to help young students practice and apply money behaviors and make wise money decisions using relevant examples.

Each week there are 60 minutes of live instruction which explores a valuable money lesson through playful activities, discussion, demonstrations, and videos. Each training component is designed to deliver financial knowledge and quick wins. The money topic is reinforced through self-paced activities and action items to be completed during the week before the next session of live instruction.
